Congratulations Minneapolis MN Home Improvement
According to Remodeling Magazine's January issue, Minneapolis MN ranked #2 out of 100 Home Improvement markets in the United States.
The top 5 US Home Improvement markets are:
- Houston, TX
- Minneapolis, MN
- Dallas, TX
- Austin, TX
- Cleveland, OH
The top performers are characterized by steady housing prices and building permits. Remodeling contractors in the top cities are enjoying the most consistent work loads and backlogs.
In Minnesota it's a god given right to complain about the weather, taxes and politics. However, when it comes to the rest of the country we have no idea how good we have it.
In the past year alone I've traveled to and spoke with remodeling contractors in Baltimore, Boston, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Ft Lauderdale, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Other than our winters and taxes there's no place I'd rather run a construction company than the Minneapolis MN St Paul metropolitan area, and Western Construction, Inc. has been here for 63 years.
The good news for the rest of the 100 cities on the list is more than three-quarters of the cities are 80% of the way back to their 2007 levels. The bad news is, regardless of location the forecast is for slow growth.
