Important Garage Construction Price Developments

As the leader in Minneapolis and St Paul Garage Construction, Western Construction feels its our responsibility to inform you of significant changes in the Garage Construction Materials market.

We have received notices from all of our roofing shingle manufactures about the price increases that are going into effect this spring. Our vinyl siding manufactures have sent notices for increases as well.

• Roof Shingles and Accessories will go up 10%-13% Effective February 1st
• Vinyl Siding and Accessories will rise 6%-8% Effective March 1st

Please be aware that we are receiving other price increase notifications from our manufactures for late spring and early summer.

Construction Prices Going Up

I believe this is only the beginning. There are many reason for this but its a simple supply and demand issue. The long depression in the housing industry has led to the shut down of many manufacturing plants thru-out the country because the demand for those construction materials hasn't been there.

Now that the economy seems to be making a come back, the construction materials manufactures are still unwilling to open the closed facilities because of uncertainty in the housing recovery. As long as there is uncertainty, we can assume the increases will continue for some time.

Western Construction, Inc. has made special arrangements with most of our garage construction material suppliers to honor the price of our garage packages the day we get the order not the day the material is delivered. This arrangement can and will save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars depending on the size of your garage construction project.
